RemoveMark Privacy Policy

RemoveMark is a browser extension and companion web tool. This policy explains how the extension and web app handle images, page media resources, browser sessions, and payment-related order data.

Last updated: 2026-04-11 Applies to: Chrome extension and web app

1. Data We Process

The extension and web app process the following data when users actively use related features:

  • Gemini images manually uploaded by the user.
  • Image or video URLs already loaded in supported Doubao, Jimeng, Jianying, or CapCut pages currently opened by the user.
  • Limited extension usage analytics such as popup opens, tab switches, refresh actions, copy actions, and download clicks.
  • Browser session identifiers used by the web app to manage free download quotas and purchased HD download credits.
  • Order identifiers, product identifiers, payment amounts, and payment status required for web payment processing.
  • Basic web usage data collected on public website pages through Google Analytics, such as page views, referrer, browser information, and approximate location derived from IP.

2. How Data Is Used

  • In extension mode, Gemini image processing runs locally in the browser and is not uploaded to RemoveMark-owned servers.
  • Doubao, Jimeng, Jianying, and CapCut features are only used to show media resources that are already visible or already loaded in the current page and to let the user download them or copy their links.
  • The extension may send limited usage analytics events to the RemoveMark server so the developer can measure feature usage and conversion performance.
  • On the web app, images uploaded by the user are sent to the RemoveMark server to generate SD previews and HD download results.
  • The web app stores only the minimum session and order data required for free quotas, HD credit delivery, and payment verification.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

  • We do not sell or share image content processed by the extension with advertising platforms, data brokers, or other unrelated third parties.
  • Limited extension usage analytics may be forwarded to Google Analytics 4 through the RemoveMark server. These events are used for product analytics and do not include uploaded image content.
  • The web app uses ZPAY / Yizhifu-compatible payment services. Required order fields are sent to the payment provider to complete payment and callback verification.
  • Web-uploaded image files and generated results are used only for the processing and delivery requested by the current user.
  • Public website pages use Google Analytics with measurement ID G-017QZTVCG8 to measure traffic and conversion behavior. The extension itself does not load Google Analytics.

4. Permission Usage

  • downloads: saves images or videos the user explicitly chooses to download.
  • tabs: identifies whether the active tab is a supported site and requests media lists from that page.
  • https://www.doubao.com/*: used only for media extraction on Doubao pages.
  • https://*.jianying.com/* and https://*.capcut.com/*: used only for media extraction on Jimeng, Jianying, and CapCut pages.

5. Data Retention and Security

  • In extension mode, Gemini processing results remain in the current browser environment and are downloaded directly by the user.
  • The web app stores necessary processing outputs, session data, and order records on the server to complete delivery and investigate payment or support issues.
  • We use reasonable measures to protect order and session data, but no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

6. User Choices

  • If you do not want the web app to keep new free quota or purchased credits, you can clear the site's cookies and site data.
  • If you do not want the extension to read media resources from the current page, do not refresh the list or click download actions on supported sites.
  • If you do not want extension usage analytics to be sent, do not use the extension after installing analytics-enabled versions, or disable the extension entirely.
  • If you do not want website analytics on public pages, you can block analytics scripts in your browser or use privacy-focused browser settings or extensions.
